Small Business & Independent Contactor Support and Expansion Grant

  • At YAMT our main core focus is removing barriers to long-term growth and success and providing pathways towards them to survivors and sex-workers. In an effort to support this cause, we are opening up applications for a small business and independent contractor focused microgrant opportunity where YAMT members can apply to receive up to $750 of funding to support with small business creation, growth, and expansion.   • This grant opportunity is open to current active members of the YAMT community that either work as small business owners or independent contractors at any phase of the business creation, building, and expansion process.

  • Whether you are just starting up your business or if you have been open for years, the financial strain of building and sustaining a business is always a heavy factor of the process. This microgrant opportunity is open to members of You Are More Than Inc. that are seeking funding to support the establishing or continued growth of their personal small businesses or independent contracting businesses through a number of various avenues. 

    Some examples of use for this funding can include (but is not limited to): 

    • Small business startup costs and registration fees

    • Vendor applications or booth fees 

    • Marketing efforts 

    • Capacity building and business development efforts 

    • Replacing or upgrading business related equipment or technology 

    • Various other small business/independent contractor related support or expansion needs

    Usage of funds is not strictly kept to these categories and can be used as necessary to support your business or independent contracting ventures and YAMT will not ask for receipts of your spending once the application is complete and the funding has been disbursed.

  • To apply for this funding you simply need to complete the application at this link with the required information.

    The application consists mainly of demographic information about your current or potential business, mainly so that we can utilize this data anonymously to seek further funding to support our community’s small-business development efforts. 

    After your application has been submitted, our team will review and approve your application and then funds will be disbursed accordingly. 

  • This funding will be available until mid-June or until it has been exhausted. Applications are reviewed and paid out on a rolling basis as they are received.
