Sanar was founded by a diverse team of individuals with lived experience with complex trauma. Our team specializes in working with individuals and communities that have experienced violence across our life courses with a bold and fierce belief in Post traumatic Growth, resilience, and the ability that all of us can build a life of our choosing if access to the right resources are available.
Sanar specializes in trauma-specific therapeutic support through an empowerment-based framework. Our diverse team of therapist specialize in multi-lingual and multicultural support. All of our services focus on resilience, connecting individuals to resources that allows each person to build a life of their choosing.
How does your practice affirm BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals?
All of Sanar's practices are grounded in inclusive practices that are affirming of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals and communities. Sanar specialized in supporting immigrant communities with a focus on Latin America and South Asia.
In addition, the Sanar team specializes in working with transgender folx with a specialization in supporting individuals in accessing gender affirming medical care.
All of Sanar's services are available in English and Spanish with other accommodations made for other linguistic needs through interpretation support when resources are available.
Sanar believes that healing is a human right. We specialize is serving individuals that have experienced trauma through long-term therapy access free of charge. In addition, Sanar specializes in working with lived experience experts to provide therapeutic support and a space to process the complexities of the anti-trafficking field as a lived experience leader.

Sanar offers virtual wellness sessions nationally and trauma-specific therapy in-person and through tele-mental health on our HIPPA compliant platform in New Jersey. Our Wellness Center is conveniently located in Newark near all public transportation hubs.
