About

I have been working with survivors of sexual violence since about 2016. That has been on outreach teams, in residential care, and as a therapist. I work with survivors themselves, as well as with their support system. I work with parents, partners, and others that are heavily involved in their life. As a therapist, I have worked with people who have been through cults, survivors of forced/child marriage, those trafficked by family and partners, as well as people who have been exploited online. I have also worked with displaced persons who were survivors of torture and war trauma, so working with cultures other than my own is something I have lots of experience with. Although there is a learning curve, if you want to work with me I will do my best to learn.

I see clients in person as well as online. Whatever my client's prefer. Being a male in this space, I understand that for many of my clients, virtual therapy helps them feel more comfortable with me. I do my best to be as accommodating as possible and provide a person centered approach, giving as much choice as possible and building a plan that will help you on the path to your goals.

If I can help you on your journey, I would love to do so. In addition to that, if we meet and you feel I am not a good fit, I am happy to help you find someone that may be.

How does your practice affirm BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals?

As a therapist and in my personal life, I am affirming. I recognize that people have lived experience that is much different than my own. I also understand that much of that carries trauma and complex situations with that experience. I openly acknowledge and help people work through and navigate the trauma that comes from system racism and oppressive ideologies.

I will always respect your pronouns, identify, and sexual orientation.
