A little about me:

I am a mother, writer, food appreciator, and lover of all types of animals from New York City. I have been working in the field to fight trafficking and exploitation for 10 years. My passion has been to help my fellow survivors reach their fullest potential and find their voice. Currently, I manage an Anti-Trafficking program in New York and provide intervention services to those that want to exit the life.

I mentor LGBTQ+ youth at a community Pride Center and provide counseling services. I graduated from the City College Of New York and have a Bachelor's in English Literature.

What peer mentor relationships do you thrive in?

I enjoy supporting survivors that want to grow their professional careers in writing, professional speaking, advocacy, counseling, and the mental health field. I also want to support those that are parents, soon-to-be parents, or considering becoming a parent.

What made you become a peer mentor?

Mentoring young people is how I started working with my survivor community peers and it is absolutely my favorite part of what I do.

What area of support would be most aligned with your work with mentees?

› Community Resource Navigation

› Job Preparation/ Support

› Education

› Emotional Skill Building

› Providing a listening ear

› LGBTQ+ Ally Support

How do you take care of yourself when helping others?

My favorite way to pass the time is reading fictional novels, listening to music, dancing, walking my dog, riding my bike, learning to cook new/exciting foods, and spending time with my loved ones.
